About Me

THOMAS SCOTT

Working as a Camera Trainee at ITV News Border, I am an award-winning documentary photographer and filmmaker delivering impactful stories through visual media. Having achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Marine & Natural History Photography, specialising in video production, I have worked on a range of creative projects.

This includes self-producing a documentary about regenerative farming, which made the ‘Official Selection’ in the Cornwall Film Festival 2024 and Wild & Scenic Film Festival 2025, a commercial photoshoot for Ocean BMW, and a promotional film for Cornwall Wildlife Trust.

My goal is to engage audiences with underrepresented subjects through visual storytelling. Working with Cornwall Wildlife Trust, I produced a film to celebrate their Marine Strandings Network, a group of 200 volunteers that monitors dead marine wildlife. The film raised the profile of their pioneering research and showcased the everyday heroes working at the forefront of marine conservation.

My practice has also led me to work on projects with BBC StudiosLightbox Film Co.Cornwall Wildlife TrustOcean BMW Falmouth, and Lay’s Auctioneers. It gained national recognition when my photograph, “The Dispute” (below), received first prize in the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards 2020 (16-18 Years).

I take an innovative approach to all my projects, using my creative and technical experience in cameras, drones, and gimbals to tell impactful stories. If you would like to get in touch, please see below.
